  1. I join in extending sincere condolences to the family of Wally Zink, dead at age 97. I met him while conducting research on the growth and development of Public Relations in Jamaica. In fact, I called his home, fully expecting to hear that he was dead (he retired in 1976) only to have him answer the phone and engage me in a lively conversation.
In a subsequent interview, he regaled me with stories of his career as the very first public relations officer to be appointed at the Kingston & St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) and was particularly helpful in clarifying the role of Public relations in both Local and Central Government at the time.
A true gentleman. May his soul rest in peace.
